Taylor Frankie Paul Seeks Mental Health Treatment Amid Custody Battle!

Lyndon Abioye |

Taylor Frankie Paul checked herself into a mental health facility on her doctor’s advice and is now home, a source says, during a difficult stretch involving custody, court orders and a canceled Bachelorette season.

The source close to Paul told Entertainment Weekly that the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star “voluntarily checked herself into a facility for mental health reasons,” and has since been cleared.

The insider told the outlet that “everyone in her corner is hopeful” that others can “appreciate that Taylor is doing everything she can to fulfill her commitment to working on herself, which is all she has said she’s been doing this whole time.”

Her treatment stay became public on Tuesday, the same day her ex-husband Tate Paul filed for a temporary restraining order. A Utah court denied it the following day, finding that “many of [Tate’s] supporting allegations are based upon inadmissible hearsay, without any corroborating evidence.”

Taylor and Tate share two children, Indy, 8, and Ocean, 6. She also shares 2-year-old Ever with Dakota Mortensen.

Paul and Mortensen have been in a legal battle following alleged domestic violence incidents, and production on Season 5 of Mormon Wives paused during the investigation. ABC also scrapped Paul’s Bachelorette season after footage from a 2023 altercation surfaced.

In April, prosecutors declined to pursue new charges against Paul. She and Mortensen are due in court again July 8.
