Taraji P. Henson hopped on social media to defend Oprah Winfrey after fans accused her of shading Taraji for crying on their The Color Purple press tour.
“It is so important for black women and ALL women of color to support each other. It is also imperative to have women of color in decision making positions across ALL industries,” wrote Taraji.

She continued,”Thank you for responding to my message with the compassion, understanding and support that I’ve received. With that being said…Ms. OPRAH has been nothing less than a steady and solid beacon of light to ALL OF THE CAST of The Color Purple!!!”
Fans picked up on tension between the ladies at a recent promotional shoot, but while some thought the tension was between Oprah and Taraji…other suspected Oprah and Fantasia seemed a little off with each other, with Oprah appearing to move away from Fantasia.

There is no confirmed beef between any of the ladies and Taraji seems to have cleared up the speculation.
