Actress Tara P Henson is contemplating quitting acting, because the racist Hollywood pay disparity that Black actors are forced to endure – is making her life too difficult, Media Take Out has learned.
Taraji explained the difficulty of being Black actress in Hollywood, and she didn’t mince her words.
According to the beautiful and talented actress, she’s “always having to fight for her pay.”
Taraji added that people don’t understand what Black actresses actually take home versus what people think they are paid. And after a long career, she’s tired of working so hard and getting a fraction of pay.
The Empire actress revealed that she works a lot – not because she wants to, but because she has to.
Every time Taraji breaks a glass ceiling, she explained, the actress has to negotiate her worth – back at the bottom like she hasn’t already proven herself.
In all, she told the interviewer that she’s tired, and says the industry will steal your soul.
