T-Pain says that once upon a time, he used to charge artists cars for a guest verse.
“I started charging n-ggas cars for songs. It came to a point where I had enough money and n-ggas was like, ‘We need a hook.’ Hey, look, it’s a ’72 Impala that I want. I don’t even want a new car, bro, go get me a old school and I’ll do this hook for you tonight,” Pain revealed on his Nappy Boy Radio podcast.

T-Pain recently posted a 27-part, 81-minute TikTok series on his experience with mechanic and drifter George Grob. Grob says that after crashing T-Pain’s drift car, he started to receive death threats.
“It was the wrong choice to do that, I’m not trying to fight that at all” Grob added to Road & Track. “The entire process was all my fault. I don’t want to fight any of that. I accept the blame for all of it. His car was never a priority for me, for a long time it was not. Because my main focus was, we had a huge payroll, we had giant overhead, we had a little bit of debt at the time, and we were barely breaking even.”
