T.I. Shoots Down Verzuz Rumors: “That Sh*t’s Poor People Activity”

T.I. says he is not doing Verzuz because, in his words, “Ain’t no money over there” and “That s–t poor people activity.”

The Atlanta rapper made the comments during an appearance on the Joe Budden Podcast.

“I don’t want to indulge in that side of life no more,” T.I. said. “And I ain’t interested, bruh. Ain’t no money over there, bruh.”

When Joe Budden and his co-hosts said Verzuz is less about battling and more about celebrating a catalog, T.I. quickly shot that down.

“I’m 45,” he added. “The f–k I’m doing going back and forth with a n*gga, for what? To celebrate music? I can do that talking about me!”

Still, the door is not completely shut. T.I. said he might reconsider if the money were right.

His comments come after past talk of a Verzuz with 50 Cent. In February, T.I. said on Million Dollaz Worth of Game that the two had discussed the idea.

“It was really about celebrating each other’s catalog,” he said then.
