T.I. is shutting the door on any chance of a Verzuz showdown with 50 Cent, saying the idea is officially dead.
The Atlanta rapper opened up about the fallout during an appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game, explaining that the matchup was once a real possibility. According to T.I., the two discussed going head-to-head while crossing paths in Los Angeles for business meetings.
“I just ain’t call him out of the blue,” T.I. said. “This ain’t come out of nowhere.”
T.I. recalled asking 50 Cent directly about a Verzuz battle under the Verzuz banner and said the New York rapper initially agreed.

and now TI says he lost respect for him over it.
“It was supposed to be for Hip Hop and culture then he started doing goofy sh*t, I don’t even wanna be on the stage with him anymore I lost respect for him” pic.twitter.com/xIbNf9aBHj
“I told him I’ma jump out there first,” T.I. explained. “When I jumped out, that n—a acted like he ain’t know what the f–K going on.”
Things escalated after 50 Cent later mocked T.I. on social media using old courtroom footage, a move T.I. called unnecessary and disrespectful.
“Just say you don’t want to do it,” he said. “All the extra stuff is goofy.”
Now, T.I. says there is no turning back. “I don’t want to stand on stage with him,” he added. “I don’t respect him.”
