Suspect In XXXtentacion’s Murder Accepts Plea Deal To Testify

One of the four suspects accused of the 2018 shooting death of XXXTentacion has accepted a plea deal. He has agreed to testify as a witness in the cases of the remaining three defendants.

The suspect, Robert Allen, pleaded guilty to the lesser charges of second-degree murder and robbery with a firearm — instead of first-degree murder.

“Mr. Allen’s role in this, it was much less than the other three,” said his attorney Jim Lewis, per NBC Miami. “More of an accessory after the fact than really part of the planning. Certainly, he never got out of the car, never had a gun, never shot anybody.”

Allen, Dedrick Williams, Michael Boatwright, and Trayvon Newsome are accused of shooting the rapper, real name Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, on June 18, 2018, as he was leaving a motorcycle shop in Pompano Beach. At the time, X had withdrawn about $50,000 from a bank before heading to purchase a bike.
