Summer Walker’s albums always do numbers but the singer has still not landed a Grammy nomination and she wants to know why.
“Honestly, both albums, Over It and Still Over It, really did the numbers,” she said. “I don’t know. I feel like I got played. The numbers was there. The fans was there. When I pop out for a show, sold out every time. I don’t f-cking know why they played me,” she said on the Caresha Please podcast.
She continued: “I do know why, but I ain’t gonna go into it. But it’s okay. The love is there and the money is there. So it’s good.”
After her album Still Over It failed to receive a nom, she hopped on social media to vent.
“Thanks for all the overflowing love in my dm’s… & as for the grammys for a 2nd time, the math is literally not mathing… I was gone post some numbers but it’s ok, atleast the streets fuq with me. y’all always pack out every show & support everytime I drop so thanks for the love I do receive” she wrote on Instagram.
