Summer House stars Amanda Batula and West Wilson are finally admitting they are dating after weeks of publicly denying the relationship and insisting they were “just friends.”
The pair confirmed their romance in a joint statement posted to Instagram on Tuesday.
“We’ve seen the growing online speculation,” they wrote. “While this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity.”
Batula and Wilson said their relationship developed unexpectedly after years of friendship.
“What’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected,” they said. “Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship.”
But the announcement comes after both reality stars repeatedly denied the romance, even to people close to them.
Earlier this month, Wilson appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and insisted there was nothing romantic going on.
“We were just hanging out in New York,” he said. “That’s a friend. I hope it’s clear.”
Batula also fueled that narrative by agreeing with fans online who said Wilson was simply a “safe boy bestie.”
Now, their confirmation has reignited sympathy for Ciara Miller, who briefly dated Wilson and has reportedly felt blindsided by the situation.
Miller and Batula had been close friends for years. According to sources close to the cast, Miller believed both Batula and Wilson when they denied anything was happening between them.

Rumors about the relationship first exploded after Austen Kroll posted, “Pasta and f–k your friends exes are apparently so back.”
Now, fans are accusing Batula and Wilson of doing exactly that while hiding it from everyone around them.
