Suge Knight made a stunning new claim in the Tupac Shakur murder case, alleging that Duane “Keefe D” Davis’ legal team offered him as much as $1 million to say Davis was not in the car tied to the deadly shooting.
Knight made the allegation Tuesday during an interview with TMZ Live from prison.
According to the former Death Row Records boss, he rejected the alleged offer because his loyalty to Tupac “can’t be compromised.”
Knight also had words for The Game, who recently said Davis is being treated as a scapegoat and claimed he has known for years who really killed Tupac.
Tupac’s life “wasn’t no motherf–king circus,” said Knight in response, accusing people of discussing the case simply to draw attention to themselves.
Despite his criticism, Knight did not say whether he believes Davis is guilty or innocent and he maintained that there was “definitely more than one person involved” in Tupac’s killing.
Knight also claimed that “crooked cops” and off-duty officers played a role in the broader circumstances surrounding the case, although he offered no evidence for those allegations in the interview.
Tupac was fatally shot in Las Vegas in 1996. Davis is now standing trial in connection with the killing.
