Sugar Ray Leonard’s temporary restraining order against his son, Daniel Ray Leonard, has been dismissed.
According to court documents, a court ruled Monday, June 15, that the order would be dismissed “without prejudice for lack of prosecution.”
The decision came after Sugar Ray, 70, and Daniel, 25, did not appear in court on June 5. The dismissal follows Daniel’s May 20 arrest at his father’s Los Angeles home. At the time, police said officers responded to the 1500 block of Amalfi Drive around 5:29 a.m. for a reported restraining order violation.
“Officers arrived and took the suspect into custody for being in violation of his restraining order,” an LAPD spokesperson told Us Weekly.
Daniel was booked on a misdemeanor charge, according to online records.
TMZ Sports, which first reported the arrest, said Daniel had tried to turn “exterior door handles” at the home before Sugar Ray’s security team called 911. Police reportedly found him outside the residence near the pool house.
Sugar Ray, whose real name is Ray Charles Leonard, has not publicly addressed the matter.
The boxing great shares Daniel and daughter Camille, 29, with wife Bernadette Robi. He is also father to sons Ray Jr., 53, and Jarrel, 42, with ex-wife Juanita Wilkinson.
