Suede Brooks is opening up about her breakup with Drake, alleging that messages she received afterward made her fear for her safety.
The 25-year-old Calabasas Confidential star discussed the relationship on Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast on Sunday. Suede said she first met Drake, 39, in Saint-Tropez while staying on a friend’s boat, where the rapper had been hired to perform at a party.
“When I met him, I was like, ‘Oh, this is so cool that he’s, like, coming on our boat,’” she shared.
Suede said she and Drake later dated “on and off for a few months,” with her traveling to see him in Toronto. Eventually, she said, she felt done.
“I was like, ‘I’m tired of this,’” she said.
Suede claimed things became frightening after they ended and that Drake thought she had been talking negatively about him in Los Angeles, which she said was not true.
“[I was] getting text messages that he’s gonna have b–ches fold me up verbatim, that’s what he said,” Suede alleged. “I was like, for what?”, adding that the alleged messages came when she was 21 or 22 and made her stay inside for months.
“I didn’t step outside,” she went on, explaining she was afraid because of Drake’s level of influence. Despite the alleged experience, Suede said, “I wish him nothing but the best in his future.”
