Stephen A. Smith went off on a long rant against Nicki Minaj following her tweets blasting Jay-Z for snubbing Lil Wayne for the next year’s Super Bowl halftime show.
Minaj accused Jay-Z of denying a fellow Blackman the opportunity to headline the event because of his ego and called the Roc Nation boss a sellout.
In his rant, Smith said that while he respects Minaj, she had had too many beefs during her time in the industry and questioned who she was going to beef with next.
Smith slammed Minaj for the way she chose to address Jay-Z, adding, Need I remind y’all of all the hip-hop artists, all the R&B people that have been performing at Super Bowl halftime since he’s been involved in 2019? You know how hard it is for a Black man to pull off what Jay-Z pulled off?”
Smith called Minaj “unappreciative” and said that Jay does not deserve to be called a “sellout.”
