Stefon Diggs is firing back at influencer Christopher Blake Griffith after Griffith publicly accused the NFL star of drugging and sexually assaulting him during an alleged 2023 encounter.
Diggs has now filed a libel lawsuit, claiming the influencer spread a fabricated story that has damaged his reputation online and professionally.
According to the suit, filed October 1 and obtained by multiple outlets, Diggs says the night in question began with a charity basketball event in Washington, DC.
He says he later invited a group, including Griffith, to a club and then to his home in Rockville, Maryland. Diggs states he eventually went to his bedroom, and his assistant asked Griffith to leave soon after. The wide receiver says that was the end of the interaction.
Two years later, Griffith began posting detailed accusations to his Instagram audience of nearly 100,000 followers. He claimed Diggs offered him candy that was secretly drugged, made unwanted sexual advances, and orchestrated threats meant to silence him.
Griffith also tagged brands and celebrities associated with Diggs, including Ugg and Sarah Jessica Parker, shortly after Diggs appeared in a company campaign.
Diggs denies every allegation and is seeking damages and attorneys’ fees. The filing does not specify an amount.
Griffith’s attorney, Jake Lebowitz, told Page Six that his client stands by his claims and intends to countersue for sexual battery. Griffith has also shared a police report he filed earlier this year, repeating the accusations he made online.
The Patriots star recently welcomed a baby with his girlfriend, Cardi B, and is already a father to two daughters from previous relationships. Both Diggs and Griffith appear prepared to take their dispute to court.
