The new season of College Hill is currently streaming – and Media Take Out has some pretty explosive spoilers from this season, regarding one of the most controversial cast members Stacey Dash.
According to someone close to production, Stacey walked off the set, and stopped filming mid season. And while it’s not clear exactly what prompted Stacey’s departure, our insider claims that Stacey left filming shortly after she performed poorly on a test designed to test her knowledge on Black History.
Stacey Dash is an outspoke Republican, who frequently makes controversial statements, undermining work done by Civil Rights leaders to help Black people in America.
This week, College Hill returned to the small screen. Instead of a group of rambunctious college students, the cast is comprised of eight chaotic celebrities.
India Love, Big Freedia, DreamDoll, NeNe Leakes, Slim Thug, Ray J, Stacey Dash, and Lamar Odom are taking on higher education at Texas Southern University.
The celebrities featured on the reality series are tasked with attending classes, submitting coursework, and collaborating on group projects, and taking tests.
It was after taking a test on Black History, which we’re told Stacey performed “poorly” on that she walked off the set.
The insider explained, to Media Take Out, “She just packed up and walked off. No one knew why she did it, and everyone was surprised. Maybe it had something to do with the [Black History] test.”
Stacey Dash is an actress and former talk show host. Dash played Dionne Marie Davenport in the 1995 feature film Clueless and its television series of the same name.
She has also appeared in the films Moving, Mo’ Money, Renaissance Man, and View from the Top. Other television work by Dash includes appearances in the series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Single Ladies and the reality TV show Celebrity Circus. She has also appeared in music videos for Carl Thomas’ “Emotional” and Kanye West’s “All Falls Down”.
Series creator Tracey Edmonds expressed her excitement about the series’ return in a statement published by Deadline. Her statement read, “I am so elated to partner with Texas Southern University and be able to bring back this cherished franchise with an exciting new twist that I am sure will entertain and inspire new and old fans across the board.”
“We intend to provide a fun but sometimes challenging journey that will show viewers it’s never too late to go back to school,” she added.
