Recently, star WR DeAndre Hopkins got traded to the KC Chiefs. As he gives an interview after practice, a sports reporter captured footage of a naked NFL player in the background.
This is causing a huge uproar in teh National Football League.
Here’s what’s going on. Recently, NFL players have complained about how much access sport reporters are having in team locker rooms.
Players have expressed that they feel uncomfortable when they notice cameras and eyes on them as they change. Keep in mind, these video interviews from sports reporters get released on every social media platform imaginable and the players are aware of this.
Often times, the men in the locker rooms take a shower, come into the locker room w/ their towels, and drop them to dry themselves off before getting dressed.
Unfortunately for them, sports reporters are already in the room because (1) there is a limited amount of time for interviews before one team has to fly back home and (2) practice is over & players are eager to leave.
Multiple players have reported that they feel like they’re being watched. Players have said the solution to this could easily be interviewing them outside of the locker rooms.
However, the NFL is doing nothing about it. So the NFLPA (union that fights to uphold the rights of NFL players) put out a message:
