Reporter Ashley Nicole Moss is calling out the rapid spread of misinformation after her friend, Lexie Brown, was swept up in rumors about Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson.
Moss spoke out as speculation surged following Megan’s April 25 announcement that her relationship with Thompson had ended due to cheating. Brown’s name quickly circulated online, despite her direct denial and despite the fact that Megan never mentioned her by name.
“Taking a rumor and running with it to the point where my friend is receiving death threats… is insane,” Moss wrote, also dismissing claims tied to the story as “blatant lies.”
taking a rumor and running with it to the point where my friend is receiving death threats for something she had ZERO involvement with to defend someone who doesn’t know you exist is insane.

Brown has said “none of it is true,” but the situation has continued to spiral, and she revealed that death threats led her to hire security and limit her online activity.
The WNBA player also expressed frustration over the silence from those involved. “They’re the ones in the relationship… so one of them, if not both of them, know that it was not me,” she said.
Brown added that she knows Thompson only professionally and has no connection to Megan, who she hopes will speak out and clear her name.
