Spencer Pratt’s campaign for Los Angeles mayor has officially crossed into full spectacle mode after the former reality star lashed out at his opponents.
The former reality TV villain turned political candidate emerged from a private election night gathering at a Mexican restaurant after early returns showed him in a shockingly close race with Mayor Karen Bass.
Asked whether attacks calling him MAGA and ultra-right were hurting him with voters, Pratt fired back.
“My opponents, it’s very clear, are all pathological liars,” he said.
The Hills alum did not stop there. “They lie on all of their statistics. They lie on the reality of the city. I will be taking on my opponents with facts and the truth, and the voters are going to see the truth. I don’t need to convince liars to stop lying.”
His campaign has leaned hard into outrage over Los Angeles leadership after he lost his Pacific Palisades home in the January 2025 wildfires. Pratt has made fire preparedness, homelessness, crime, and business costs the center of his campaign, while repeatedly attacking Bass and California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
President Donald Trump has praised Pratt’s candidacy but has not issued a formal endorsement.
Unofficial results show Bass at about 35 percent and Pratt at around 30 percent, with the race positioned for a possible November runoff.
