During the last season of Southern Charm, Austen Kroll admitted to kissing his best friend, Shep Rose’s ex girlfriend, Taylor Green, behind his back.
Viewers were surprised how cooly Shep took the news and he and Austen remained good friends with the reality star’s first-ever serious girlfriend.
“I’ve been getting a lot from my season. I was very nice and understanding and gracious towards him for the most part… I just feel like walking around angry isn’t who I am, but watching it back, I watched it and wanted to know what other people were saying when I wasn’t there… I got more and more angry,” he said on When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany.
“I felt like he treated the thing with Taylor very cavalierly and callously… He was laughing about it and snickering. I was not happy. That’s so uncool. I just felt like maybe hurt by a lot of it after the fact,” he added.
During the reunion show, Shep admitted that he was close to proposing to Taylor before they split. Taylor has since moved on and Shep still appeared to be hung up on her.
Viewers were upset with Taylor, who seemed to use Austen to make Shep jealous, despite the fact that Taylor was best friends with his ex-girlfriend, Olivia Flowers.
