Southern Charm OG Kathryn Dennis will be returning to the Bravo show for the ninth season…but only as a guest of the show, not as a full-time cast member.
Reports had been circulating that Kathryn had been fired from the show following an alleged hit and run, but Bravo has decided not to drop one of their most controversial stars.
Kathryn first starred in the show’s premiere season as a guest but her entanglements with several cast members gave her so much camera time, she may as well have been a main cast member. She was promoted to full-time cast member by season two.
Her rocky relationship with Thomas Ravenel, the father of her two children, was one of the main storylines for years.
Last season, viewers saw her relationship with Black cast member Chleb Ravenell crash and burn. Some fans of the show (and several cast members) believed she dated Chleb to squash allegations of racism made against her.
Filming for season nine kicked off last week.
