Soulja Boy sounded off on the MTV VMAs for not including more Hip-Hop artists during Hip-Hop’s 50th year.
“VMAs was Wack. No Travis and he just dropped best album. No lil baby. Where was 50 cent ain’t this 50 years of hip hop? F-ck this Sh-t free thug. Why young boy ain’t ever perform at VMAs or BET? Music game Fucked up let the real ones shine,” he wrote.

Fans reacted to his tweets.
“You fell off tremendously. As a qualified twitter expert, everything you’ve released since 2007 has been unbearably mid. I recommend studying the work of NBA YoungBoy if you want to return to your former relevance” one fan wrote.
Another wrote, “It can be disappointing when some of your favorite artists don’t make appearances at awards shows. Hopefully, future events will showcase a more diverse lineup to satisfy fans of all musical styles.”
Should the VMAs have done more for Hip-Hop?
