Snoop Dogg’s 1993 Murder Charge SEALED

Tiffany Brockworth |

Snoop Dogg has been cut a huge break after he successfully had his 1993 murder charge officially sealed.

Snoop filed the petition back in January and the request was granted the following month.

Right after shutting down the MTV Awards with his track “Murder Was the Case” — which was based on the infamous case — Snoop and his bodyguard got hit with charges over a shooting in an L.A. park in 1993. The case went to trial, and in 1996, he was found not guilty after being represented by top lawyer Johnnie Cochran.

“They made the right decision, you know what I’m saying?” Snoop said at the time. “This has been an ordeal that has affected our lives for the past 2 1/2 years. I was just trying to figure out if I was going to be here to raise my son.”

“We think the jury reached the absolute correct verdict,” Marcia Morrissey, one of his attorneys said after the verdict. “We hope with further deliberations they will acquit on the other two counts. Clearly they are taking a long, hard look at the evidence and decided it was not sufficient.”
