Legendary rapper addressed his ongoing fallout with cousin Daz Dillinger during a recent Culture Campus podcast appearance, speaking by phone about Daz’s claims involving Death Row Records, royalties, and ownership rights.
“I’m in preproduction on my biopic right now. I’m on other s–t,” Snoop said. “I can’t pay attention to that shit.”
Daz, a longtime collaborator, has repeatedly accused Snoop of mishandling issues tied to Death Row business, claiming money is being withheld, alleging that his rights have been affected by past agreements, and saying he was pushed away from the label after refusing to sell his catalog.
Snoop, who now owns Death Row Records, said the complaints should move through official channels if Daz believes he has a case.
“If I’m wrong, take me to court,” he said. “My business is handled. That’s why I got all these businesses, ’cause I handle my business. […] I done what I done. I helped Nas out. I gave nas opportunities,” Snoop said. “If you didn’t handle your business, you didn’t handle your business.”
He added that he would welcome a closer look at the records, saying, “Open them books up. Let me get an audit. What am I gonna say? Check the books. I have zero to hide.”
Daz fired back on Instagram, posting legal paperwork and alleging forged signatures and unauthorized agreements connected to Death Row’s history. “This is what I’m fighting for,” he wrote. “This is just one piece of evidence.”
Daz has also pursued royalty claims outside Death Row. Earlier this year, he sued Amaru Entertainment, alleging unpaid royalties for work connected to Tupac Shakur and seeking a full accounting of revenue.
