Meri Brown is not rushing to accept an apology from her ex-husband, Kody Brown.
On the Dec. 28 episode of Sister Wives, the reality star opened up about a tense visit from Kody Brown, who stopped by her Utah home as part of what he framed as an effort to make amends.
“I’m very guarded because I don’t know what this is all about or why,” Meri said during their conversation. “Our last couple of interactions haven’t been great.”
Kody, who remains married to Robyn Brown, shared that he wanted Meri to move forward. When Meri attempted to respond, she shut the exchange down quickly. “You can stop right there,” she told him, as Kody replied, “I’m just here to apologize.”
In a confessional, Meri expressed frustration with it all. “This is something Kody’s done the whole time I’ve known him is try to talk over me,” she said.
As Kody continued listing regrets, Meri grew suspicious. “You’ve got to stop with the apology word,” she explained. “The more you use it, the more it feels insincere.”
Still, Meri allowed him space to speak, even if she wasn’t convinced. “I’m open to seeing how it goes,” she said. “But right now, it feels like this is more for him than for us.”
By the end of the meeting, Meri walked away disappointed. “I would expect him to get better,” she shared. “And I haven’t seen that.”
