‘Sister Wives’ Star Kody Brown Makes Reacts to Son Garrison’s Death

Lyndon Abioye |

Sister Wives took a heartbreaking turn on Sunday night’s episode (May 4), as Kody Brown opened up about the tragic death of his son, Garrison Brown, who died by suicide at 25 in March 2024.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kody holed himself away with his wife, Robyn Brown, and their children, leaving the remainder of his wives and children feeling neglected.

On camera, his children, including his son Garrison, expressed their hurt and frustration over being left in the cold by their father, who responded by accusing them of being mean to Robyn.

In an emotional conversation with Robyn, Kody revealed his deep regret over their strained relationship, saying, “I didn’t get a chance to really just make things right.” He admitted he’s stuck in a spiral of “what ifs”—haunted by missed calls, missed moments, and the time he thought he still had.

Reflecting on past tensions, including their fallout during COVID, Kody tearfully confessed, “All of the frustration I had over the stuff with COVID and everything like that, all of a sudden, that’s just like, it was so unimportant. I’m just sad. Sad about what would have been.”

New Sister Wives episodes air Sundays at 9/8c ET on TLC and stream the next day on Max.
