Porsha Williams is celebrating a legal win against her estranged husband, Simon Guobadia, after he dropped a lawsuit accusing her of defamation over a social media post about erectile dysfunction.
The bizarre case had been hanging over the The Real Housewives of Atlanta star since 2024. Guobadia sued Williams for $500,000, claiming an Instagram post she shared about men’s health was secretly aimed at him and damaged his reputation.
According to court documents, Simon asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit, and a judge agreed, dismissing the case without prejudice, meaning he could file it again in the future.
Porsha had also asked the court to order Simon to pay her legal bills, but the judge denied the request. Simon made it clear he does not consider the matter over.
“A dismissal without prejudice means I retain the full legal right to refile the same claims against Porsha Williams at a future date,” he said in a statement. “No court has ruled that my claims were invalid or without merit.” He continued, “Porsha Williams and her representatives should not mistake my voluntary dismissal for an abandonment of my legal rights.”
Porsha filed for divorce in early 2024 after just over a year together. Simon was detained by ICE for months before being deported back to his home country of Nigeria.
