An employee at Kandi Burress’ Atlanta’s Blaze Steak & Seafood Restaurant shot a co-worker, Media Take Out has learned. But it’s not clear exactly when the shooting took place.
And police say the employee fled the restaurant and is now currently on the run.
Police told the media that the shooting happened at Blaze Steak & Seafood on the 3700 block of Cascade Road. The restaurant is owned by “Real Housewives” star and singer Kandi Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker.
Police believe that an employee got into a fight with another worker and ended up shooting them in the arm.
Medics transported the injured worker, whom Media Take Out confirmed is Kandi Burres’ nephew Melvin, the manager, to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooter is still on the run at the time of the publication and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Editor’s Update: An earlier version of this article mistakenly identified the victim as a female.
