The Real Housewives of Atlanta appear ready to move on from Kenya Moore, Media Take Out has learned. And producers are negotiating to bring back Sheree Whitfield to the show this season.
As we reported last fall, Bravo and the production team had been looking to reduce budget for the current season – and so they had to choose between Kenya Moore and Sheree Whitfield, the two highest paid housewives (other than Porsha).
They initially chose Kenya … but that proved to be a bad idea. Media Take Out broke the news that Kenya Moore showed an alleged photo to a group of journalists – purportedly showing Brit Eady eating a man-sausage.
Kenya has since been fired, and producers are scrambling to find her replacement for this season. And Bravo wants to bring Sheree back -as soon as possible.
There’s a ton of reasons for bringing Sheree back. First off, she’s already friends with most of the ladies on the cast.
But she does have two VERY interesting potential storylines that Bravo is hoping to show this season. First off, Sheree is STILL friends with Porsha’s estranged husband Simon.
The two have traveled in the same social circles for years – and Sheree seemingly chose to keep her friendship with Simon active, even after Porsha’s divorce.
We’re told that Porsha is “furious” with Sheree over her friendship with Simon, and the two haven’t spoken since Sheree and Simon posed for the below picture.
You should expect drama between Sheree and Porsha, is Sheree is brought back.
Her second storyline is even more scandalous. Sheree was romantically linked to legendary NBA player Charles Oakley for many years. Media Take Out learned that Sheree eventually broke things off with the baller, but the “fizzling out” of their relationship took years.
Charles Oakley is now married to new housewife Angela Oakley – and the couple share two children together. The interesting part … is that there may have been a bit of overlap between the Charles-Sheree era and the Charles-Angela era.
We’re told that Angela is extremely “sensitive” about Sheree and her husband’s former relationship. And Bravo is hoping to fully exploit that … for ratings, of course.
No deal has been confirmed yet, between Bravo and Sheree – but we’re told that both sides are actively negotiating, and it could get signed soon.
