Rapper Sheff G has finally been released from jail after 14 months.
“10 MILL BOND , 1.5 MILL CASH BAIL WAS THE TICKET‼️,” he captioned the post: “BAIL PAID SAME DAY ARE YOU DUMB, SHEFF G BACK‼️ NEW YORK. WE F*CKING LITTTTT THEY COUNTED ME OUT!! THEY THOUGHT I WAS DONE , PEACE AND LOVE TO YALL…”
Last May, Drill rappers Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow were charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
Prosecutors say Sheff G offered money and jewelry in exchange for “acts of violence.” These acts include murder. Prosecutors presented video, and evidence, including surveillance. They also obtained text messages and searched his property. Prosecutors claim Sleepy Hallow was present for some of these criminal activities.
“Sheff G is not a wannabe drill rapper. He is a legitimate person who made it good. He has gold records, he’s made a lot of money. He rented a very large house, some may call it a mansion, in Short Hills, N.J.,” Brooklyn district attorney, Eric Gonzalez, said at a news conference. “Instead of using his fame and fortune for the betterment of himself and his family and those close to him, we allege that he used his fame and fortune to elevate gang violence in Brooklyn.”
