The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador’s ex-boyfriend, John Janseen, is now seeking punitive damages against her after she tried to have his lawsuits for loans she reportedly owed him dismissed.
Janssen’s lawsuit is for $75,000, which he says he loaned her to get a facelift and that the reality star is refusing to pay him back.
He now says that Shannon breached their contract and accuses her of promissory fraud. He said she approached him for a loan in 2022 to help fund a facelift. He first wired her $40,000 and then later sent a second payment of $35,000.
He is now asking Shannon to pay his lawyer fees and punitive damages.
Shannon says she tried to work things out with her ex before he sued her but they could not reach an agreement.
“My attorney has been in constant communication with his counsel. I agreed to pay John what he wanted because I knew that attorney’s fees would surpass the amount sought, but more importantly to eliminate the negative emotional components that come with a lawsuit,” said Shannon. “It is important that I continue to focus on the positive aspects of my life and move forward.”
