Serayah and Joey Bada$$ are not getting back together, despite the actress saying they are “doing great” and still speak following their explosive breakup.
A representative for Serayah explained that her communication with her former fiancé is strictly about co-parenting their son and that she has already returned her engagement ring… nothing more.
The update came after Serayah was spotted outside Craig’s in West Hollywood on Tuesday, where she offered a brief update on where things stand with Joey.
She said they were both “doing great” and “hoping for the best,” while acknowledging that they still talk.
Just days ago, Serayah publicly accused Joey of “repeated infidelity” while announcing the end of their engagement. The actress said on Instagram that she was choosing her own happiness, later unleashing another emotional message in which she claimed the rapper treated her like a “literal piece of s–.t”
“There comes a point in a woman’s life when choosing herself is no longer an option, it becomes necessary,” Serayah’s statement at the time read. “After much thought, I have made the difficult decision to end my engagement and relationship with the father of my child, Joey. I loved deeply, believed wholeheartedly in the life we were building, and wanted nothing more than to protect our family.”
Sources previously claimed Serayah’s breakup came after she allegedly overheard Joey speaking with another woman behind her back.
Joey has not publicly addressed the split.
