Boosie Badazz is facing a lawsuit from a Houston security guard who claims the rapper struck him in the head with a glass hookah during a nightclub altercation.
Edward Iglehart II alleges the incident happened May 24 at Dome Nightclub, where he was working security in the VIP area during a Boosie performance, TMZ reports.
According to the lawsuit, a woman who had been with Boosie asked to reenter a restricted area to use the bathroom. Iglehart says he directed her to another guard, but she allegedly began insulting him and then hit him.
Iglehart claims he grabbed the woman to escort her away and that she fell. As he bent down to help her, he says he was hit with a heavy object and alleges he then saw Boosie standing over him with a broken hookah. Iglehart says he was bleeding heavily and was taken to a hospital.

The guard is suing Boosie for assault, battery and defamation, claiming the rapper later made false statements about him on social media. He is also suing the club’s owner, accusing the business of overserving Boosie and his guests and creating an unsafe workplace.
Boosie was arrested in May in connection with the alleged attack.
His attorney, Carl A. Moore, said they plan to “vigorously investigate and defend” Boosie, adding that the rapper was trying to “defend his female relative” and “deescalate the situation.”
