Sean Kingston and was arrested in California on Thursday and taken into custody on Thursday just hours after his mother was arrested.
The feds raided a South Florida mansion the singer was rented, where they found his mother, 61-year-old Janice Turner.
“This evening, police in Fort Irwin, Calif., arrested Kisean Anderson, aka Sean Kingston without incident on a Broward Sheriff’s Office arrest warrant for numerous fraud and theft charges,” the Broward Sheriff’s Office confirmed in a statement. “According to investigators, he will be booked into jail in San Bernardino, Calif.”
Company Ver Ver sued the rapper in February, claiming he had over $150,000 worth of items he had not paid for. The company also claims that the singer made “numerous false representations,” including that he had a “current and ongoing working relationship” with singer Justin Bieber.
Kingston responded to the news via his Instagram Stories.
“People love negative energy! I am good and so is my mother,” he wrote. “My lawyers are handling everything as we speak.”
