Sean “Diddy” Combs has responded to a new lawsuit filed against him by former Danity Kane singer Dawn Richards.

Dawn claims that Diddy “abused” her, manipulating her by promising to advance her singing career if she conceded to his alleged demands.

In her lawsuit, she says the Making The Band creator groped, assaulted and imprisoned her, and that he even threatened her life when she tried to defend his then-girlfriend, Casandra Ventura.

Dawn also wants more than $1.2 million, which she says he owes her.

“In an attempt to rewrite history, Dawn Richard has now manufactured a series of false claims all in the hopes of trying to get a pay day — conveniently timed to coincide with her album release and press tour,” Erica Wolff, Diddy’s attorney said in a statement to the media. “It’s unfortunate that Ms. Richard has cast their 20-year friendship aside to try and get money from him, but Mr. Combs is confidently standing on truth and looks forward to proving that in court.”
