Saweetie hopped on social media to address her fans after Barbie and Ice Spice’s new album anthem dropped.
Last year, Saweetie previewed a clip of an unreleased song sampling Aqua’s “Barbie Girl.”
Fans wanted to know where Saweetie’s version was at after “Barbie World,” from the official Barbie soundtrack, dropped. Saweetie says she’s not mad about it.
“It’s inspiration,” she said. “Like, I love to inspire, that’s my purpose here, and they look bomb as f-ck in the video. So it’s just like ‘Okay, bitch, I see you!'” she said on Power 106. “Mine is still coming out though, stay tuned. I’m saving it for a very special moment.”
The rapper also dropped some details about her upcoming album.
“[The name of the album] was Pretty Bitch Music but I realized, Pretty Bitch Music is my movement,” she added. “It’s like a category of my brand. Like there’s Pretty Bitch Music, there’s Icy, there’s Icy University, etc. So I’m changing the name of my album.”
