Sam Asghari, the husband of Britney Spears has broken his silence days after it was revealed that he filed for divorce from the pop star.
“After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always,” he wrote on his Instagram Story.
He continued, “Sh-t happens. Asking for privacy seems rediculous [sic] so I will just ask for everyone including the media to be kind and thoughtful.”
An insider revealed the couple’s relationship has been rocky since they were married.
“Their issues tend to get worse when they are away from each other and spending time apart,” the source claimed. “Britney has the tendency to feel like she isn’t being prioritized by Sam at times. Their arguments have led them to become unhappy at times in their relationship. They are also on different pages when it comes to their future as a couple, which has been a point of contention.”
Britney has not commented publicly on their split.
