Nicki Minaj’s ex Safaree Samuels says he was hurt when he saw his then-girlfriend kiss rapper Nas in a music video when they were still together.
Nas played Nicki’s love interest in her 2012 video for “Right By My Side,” and Safaree said he had no clue they would be locking lips.
“You wanna know what’s so crazy? I didn’t know it happened until the video came out,” the Love & Hip Hop star said on the Keep It A Stack Podcast. “N-gga, I was hurt. When that sh-t happened, I was hurt.
“He continued, “I was there the whole day so I was like, ‘Damn. Did that happen when I left to go? I must’ve left for like an hour, two hours and I think that’s when that scene happened, yo.”
Safaree dated rapper Nicki Minaj from 2000 until 2014. Nicki and Nas started dating three years later and ended their relationship at the end of 2017.
