Russell Simmons Ordered To Pay $3 Million To S*xual Assault After Breaking Settlements

Russell Simmons has been hit with a $3 million bill after failing to hold up his end of lawsuit settlements with three women accusing him of sexual assault.

The former Def Jam boss Simmons previously agreed to these judgments as part of individual settlements with Sil Lai Abrams, Sherri Abernathy, and Wendy Carolina Franco.

Simmons agreed to pay Abrams and Abernathy $1,265,000 each and $515,000 to Franco.

All three women accused him of sexual misconduct. Now, he’s got to pay up.

If Simmons defaults, the plaintiffs can fast-track things to get their money. New York state court will quickly hand down judgments, and the collections process can get rolling expeditiously.

In March, Simmons was sued by a former music executive for defamation for denying her sexual assault claims. In her filing, Jane Doe said that the disgraced music executive has yet to answer a list of questions she provided him in the case.

Simmons denies the allegations against him.
