Russell Simmons Accused of Ducking Deposition in S*xual Harassment Lawsuit

Russell Simmons has been accused of evading a deposition after being accused of s-xual assault by former Def Jam executive.

In March, the former music executive who accused him of r-pe, sued him for defamation for denying her sexual assault claims.

Simmons said, “Could someone want notoriety in the market where people thirst for fame?” and “I’ve never been forceful in any of my relationships,” all of which were “consensual,” in a December interview.

Simmons has been invited to attend the deposition via Zoom but has not shown up.

In court docs, the alleged victim writes that “it does appear the parties are at an impasse on several important issues.”

In her filing, Jane Doe said that the disgraced music executive has yet to answer a list of questions she provided him in the case. She believes his being deposed would “obviate the need for his answering the interrogatories (although he has agreed to neither).”

Simmons continues to deny all allegations against him.
