Russell Brand Denies Allegations Of Sexual Assault

Lyndon Abioye |

Russell Brand has denied allegations made by four women accusing him of sexual assault in a series of incidents between 2006 and 2013.

In the article reporting the alleged allegations, one woman claimed that Brand raped her without a condom against a wall in his Los Angeles home. A second woman alleges Brand assaulted her when he was in his early 30s and she was 16 and referred to her as “the child” during their relationship. She is based in the UK. A third woman claims he sexually assaulted her while she worked with him in Los Angeles, while the fourth woman alleges he was sexually abusive towards her.

Brand posted a video response to the allegations.

“Now during that time of promiscuity the relationships I had were absolutely always consensual. I was always transparent about that then, almost too transparent, and I am being transparent about it now as wel,” he said.
“To see that transparency metastasised into something criminal, that I absolutely deny, makes me question: is there another agenda at play?”
