Russell Brand says he has finally found the Bible verse he was unable to name during a recent television interview about his court appearance.
Russell Brand posted a video to X on April 26 explaining that he wanted to return to the moment after being questioned by Piers Morgan.
“I was looking for it,” Brand said. “I should find the actual right passage.”
Wait! @piersmorgan I’ve found that verse!!

The really important thing is that we, you, me all of us are loved.
And not because of anything we have accomplished or ever could achieve.
But because of who loves us. pic.twitter.com/bbtRMTJLO9
On Piers Morgan Uncensored, Morgan had asked Brand which scripture helped him while he was in court carrying a Bible. Brand searched for the verse for a while during the interview but could not locate it and the cringeworthy moment instantly went viral.
In the new clip, he said the passage was Isaiah 43:18-19.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past,” Brand read. “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
Brand said those words were what he had been reading while in court.

The former comedian is facing trial on allegations of rape and sexual assault made by multiple women. He has denied all accusations.
“I’m sorry it took me so long to find it on Piers Morgan,” Brand said. “I think it was the pressure of the circumstances.”
