After DaBaby claimed he had been blackballed, Russ says that he doesn’t believe this to be the case. He says if a fan wants to play your music, they’ll play it regardless.
“I just wanna give my two cents on something in my industry. No artist is blackballed. Unless they cut off your Wi-Fi, remove your social media accounts and take your music off all the streaming platforms, you are not blackballed. If you are famous and can still tell your fans, ‘hey I’m putting out music,’ then you’re not blackballed,” Russ tweeted.
DaBaby latest album sold less than 18k units. His last album moved more than 120k.
After DaBaby claimed he had been blackballed, DJ Akademiks agreed.
