Media Take Out Staff |

Rapper Rod Wave has pushed back the release of his album after his arrest on domestic violence charges.

“…Moving my album back June 10th,” he tweeted.

The Tampa Bay Times reports that the rapper allegedly choked his ex-girlfriend on April 24. Their two children were in the home at the time of the attack.

The woman reportedly had a scratch “near the left center of her neck.” She told the cops that she was sleeping when Wave walked in and choked her until she could not breathe, after accusing her of cheating. Their children were in their bedroom during the incident and has been in a relationship with the rapper for over 4 years.

Wave pleaded not guilty and posted a $5,000 bail.

The rapper said previously that his time in the rap game would soon be over.

“I’m only here for a little longer and when I say that I mean as in Rod Wave,” he said. “I’m only here for a little minute, man. I done gave y’all straight dope, straight crack. Ain’t nobody’s f-cking with me with that pen. This sh-t not really me, man. I’m not no people person, I’m not no center of attention ass n-gga, I hate attention, man. I can’t get on the internet without seeing my face or name.”
