Rod Wave’s attorneys now have a mountain of evidence to sift through as prosecutors push ahead with a criminal case tied to a 2025 shooting outside the rapper’s Georgia home.
Prosecutors disclosed on July 31 that they turned over more than 90 gigabytes of material to Rod Wave, whose legal name is Rodarius Green. The evidence includes about 1,900 photographs and 111 videos connected to the April 2025 incident in Milton, Georgia.
Rod Wave is facing 14 charges, including aggravated assault, firearm possession during a felony, reckless conduct and criminal property damage.
The cops allege a verbal dispute involving the rapper and an associate escalated into gunfire, with multiple shots striking vehicles outside the residence. The incident reportedly happened after Rod Wave’s home had been burglarized.
Rod Wave has pleaded not guilty, and his attorney, Drew Findling, has strongly rejected the accusations.
“There is no truth to these charges,” Findling said.
“Rod Green was a victim of a burglary and committed no crimes,” he continued. “How he was even charged as a result of this situation is incomprehensible.”
Findling added, “This will absolutely be resolved favorably to Mr. Green.”
Green is due back in court September 28. He is also preparing to release his album Don’t Look Down and begin a supporting tour September 12.
