Roc Nation Tossed From Texas Lawsuits in Jay-Z & Buzbee Lawsuit!

Roc Nation has been dismissed from two lawsuits tied to the ongoing legal battle between Jay-Z and attorney Tony Buzbee.

A Texas judge tossed all claims against Jay-Z’s company after finding the court lacked “personal jurisdiction,” according to court documents. The ruling is a win for Roc Nation, though it does not decide whether the allegations themselves are true.

The lawsuits were brought by two former Buzbee clients, who alleged Roc Nation and attorneys connected to Jay-Z’s camp improperly targeted them amid the wider fallout surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs and later allegations involving Jay-Z.

Because the case was dismissed for “lack of jurisdiction,” the claims could potentially be filed again in another court.

The decision marks the latest development in a sharp legal back-and-forth between Jay-Z and Buzbee. Buzbee previously filed a lawsuit that included sexual assault allegations against Jay-Z but that lawsuit was later withdrawn.

Jay-Z denied the allegations and pushed back forcefully, accusing Buzbee of pursuing false claims and taking legal action of his own against the attorney.

“What [Buzbee] had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle,” Jay wrote after the allegations first hit the internet. “No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion,” he added. “So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!”
