Roc Nation Seeks Dismissal of Lawsuits Over Megan Thee Stallion Billboard Campaign

Roc Nation is fighting to get out of two lawsuits over Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Summer swimwear campaign, claiming that the models behind the cases sued the wrong company.

Models Janelle Delacruz and Tonoia Wade claim they agreed to appear in social media ads after an April 2025 shoot, only to see later their faces used on billboards and in several promotions, per documents obtained by AllHipHop.

Roc Nation wants both cases dismissed and says it was not responsible for the contracts that governed the shoot or the rights to the images.

“Roc Nation was party to neither,” the company’s attorneys wrote in the latest filing.

The women have accused the campaign of using their likenesses in Times Square, Miami, Los Angeles and Houston, as well as in online shopping promotions and Walmart-linked advertising.

According to the filing, Delacruz was paid $5,000 plus an agency fee and Wade received $8,750 plus a 20% agency fee. Delacruz later sought at least $25,000, plus an agency fee, for the more extensive use of her photos.

“The scope of booking terms is a contract question, full stop,” Roc Nation’s lawyers wrote.

Neither Jay-Z nor Megan is being sued in the cases.

A federal judge is expected to consider Roc Nation’s request for dismissal on Dec. 2 in Los Angeles.
