Riley Burruss Responds to ‘Next Gen NYC’ Star Charlie Zakkour’s Racially Charged Behavior

Riley Burruss, one of the stars of Bravo’s hot new show, Next Gen NYC, is going viral after she was forced to check white castmate Charlie Zakkour for showing his racial bias during a conversation.

Tensions flared when the cast began chatting about Riley’s recent engagement, and things took a turn after Charlie brought up an encounter involving a few young women he’d been spending time with. According to Riley, the women’s failure to introduce themselves to the group came off as disrespectful.

Charlie still insisted that Riley actually “confronted” one of the women in a way he felt crossed a line.

“Dylan and I are talking to these two girls, and she goes up to one of them like, ‘Yo, you think it’s cool to just be here with Charlie but not come up and make sure it’s cool with me?'” he said rolling his neck and wagging his finger.

Riley immediately took offense and called him out, letting the whole group know that she is over being labeled as “aggressive” or “scary,” the moment she has an issue with someone, even though she’s always very calm, cool, collected, and polite.

“I’m just so mad because every single time y’all do this. And I try not to make it a thing, but I hate when you guys try to play this like I’m scary or scaring a random white girl. It’s just so annoying. That’s cause it’s a real thing I have to go through every day. I’m so f–king nice to everybody. And there’s always like everyone tries to come off when I’m talking to a white girl that I’m trying to scare them. No, your girls are rude and it’s disrespectful. You’re around people, introduce yourselves,” she said.

Charlie accused her of playing the race card and Dame Dash’s daughter, Ava Dash, urged him to apologize to her, which he did, but quickly walked it back, revealing he only said sorry to “appease” her, which also angered Ava.

Viewers are calling for Charlie to be axed from the show.
