After Reebok announced that the G-Unit G6 would return on August 20, Rick Ross shared the news on Instagram Stories Thursday night to clown him.
“Costco got these now,” Rozay wrote alongside crying laughing emojis. He then added, “Lloyd Banks hi tops better,” along with a fire emoji.
“@50cent shot the shoe commercial at your film studio in Shreveport. You forgot to build it? Should I sign Lloyd Banks?” he wrote under Ballert Alert’s post.
The G-Unit G6 will retail for $130 through Reebok and select stores, including JD Sports. The rerelease closely follows the original design, with white leather, light gray suede, patriotic accents, a silver G-6 lace dubrae and a translucent blue outsole.
The shoe first arrived in 2003 alongside 50’s blockbuster debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’. The Reebok partnership reportedly earned about $80 million.
The latest exchange comes days after 50 ridiculed projected sales for Ross’ Set in Stone.
“So when your tickets don’t sell and your album don’t sell what do ya do?” 50 wrote before adding, “Alright now pack it up it’s over officer.”
Ross answered by challenging 50 over his Shreveport studio plans and saying, “Return they money back.”
