Rick Ross allegedly walked away from two North Carolina concerts, leaving a promoter with more than $250,000 in losses, according to a new lawsuit.
Omega14 Incorporated is suing the rapper for $261,000 after claiming he failed to perform the final two scheduled stops of his Port of Miami 20th Anniversary Orchestra Tour in Greensboro and Charlotte in August. The company says the contract only allowed cancellations for “severe injury or death.”
According to the filing, Ross’ sister Tawanda Roberts, who manages Maybach Music, called on the afternoon of the Greensboro show to say he would not perform.
By then, Omega14 claims both concerts had already sold substantial numbers of tickets, and the Charlotte stop was close to sold out.
The organizer says it had also spent money on venues, production, staffing, travel, lodging, advertising and orchestra management.

Adding to its complaint, Omega14 alleges Ross performed in Orlando and Miami Beach on the same dates he was expected to appear in North Carolina.
The company described the alleged conduct as “unethical, unscrupulous, and substantially injurious to consumers and businesses.”
Ross is also dealing with a separate allegation from former girlfriend Jazzma Kendrick, who recently accused him on Instagram of physical abuse and said he treated her like a “punching bag.”
Ross has not publicly addressed either allegation.
