In the trailer for RHOSLC, Jen Shah blamed her legal scandal on assistant Stuart Smith.
“I am innocent!” Jen is seen telling the Housewives.
Later on in the trailer, Jen says: “I got played by Stuart Smith. I would not be in this thing at all if it wasn’t for Stuart.”
Jen and Stuart were both arrested in March 2021 after being accused of targeting individuals…mainly the elderly…in a nationwide scheme. After being charged with charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing and conspiracy to commit money laundering, they both plead not guilty.
Well, since then, they’ve both changed their pleas.
Jen is facing up to 30 years in prison. She will be sentenced on Nov. 28.
“Ms. Shah is a good woman who crossed a line,” Priya Chaudhry, her attorney told PEOPLE in July. “She accepts full responsibility for her actions and deeply apologizes to all who have been harmed. Ms. Shah is also sorry for disappointing her husband, children, family, friends, and supporters. Jen pled guilty because she wants to pay her debt to society and put this ordeal behind her and her family.”
